Tenouchi-Jutsu Kihon-Kata

手の内術   基本型

Tenouchi-Jutsu (or 手の内術 in Japanese) includes the fighting techniques ( 術 Jutsu) with a a small hand-held weapon for striking and stabbing ( 手の内 Tenouchi). The designation of ‘Tenouchi’ means that is it held inside ( 内 Uchi) the hand ( 手 Te) to fight with. An example of this is the Koppō ( 骨法 ), which is a short stick with a rope in the middle to put fingers through. In the video embedded below (recorded on 20 June 2025), budoka Johan Oldenkamp performs the Kihon-Kata (or 基本型 in Japanese) of Tenouchi-Jutsu developed by Wim van de Leur (1944), 7th Dan in Ryukyu Kobujutsu and also from the Netherlands.
